There are ten bouts on disc 1. They are George Sotiropoulos vs Jason Dent/Caol Uno vs Fabricio Camoes/Brock Larson vs Brian Foster/Kendall Grove vs Jake Rosholt/Marcus Davis vs Ben Saunders/Amir Sadollah vs Phil Baroni/Luiz cane vs Rogerio Nogueira/Paulo Thiago vs Jacob Volkman/Josh Koscheck vs Anthony Johnson and Tito Ortiz vs Forrest Griffin.

Tito Ortiz previously defeated Forrest Griffin at UFC 59 in 2006 but in making his return to the Octagon he needed a win. He lost to Chuck Liddell at UFC 66, drew with Rashad Evans at UFC 73 and lost to Lyoto Machida at UFC 84. Griffin also needed a win after losing to Evans at UFC 92 and Anderson Silva at UFC 101. Unfortunately the build-up to the fight is more entertaining than the fight itself. The Koscheck vs Johnson fight is the first where Koscheck displays his nasty habit of pretending to be injured by strikes that never landed. Surprisingly this won Fight of the Night honours.

Extras include the countdown to UFC 106, weigh in show and a behind the scenes featuring a retrospective of Ortizs' career. The highlights of UFC 106 are probably the Davis vs Saunders, Sadollah vs Baroni and the Cane vs Nogueria fights. No one was put to sleep in the main event but most people who watch it will probably fall asleep. Compared to UFC 81&84 there are very few memorable moments.
